Apple -Red Sparkle

The Red Sparkle Apple was released in 1990 by the Alberta Special Crops and Horticultural Research Centre in Brooks. The apples are green with crimson red blush, crisp, juicy and and sweetly sub-acidic – similar in flavour to a McIntosh apple with nutty overtones. The 5-6 cm red apples can be eaten fresh or used for cooking or juicing. They keep for 4 months with proper storage.
