A 36" hardy apricot seedling that originated in Saskatchewan. It produces apricots that are freestone, dark yellow with a pink blush and are 3-4 cm in diameter. It is a fast growing tree, so it   should bear fruit in as little as 3 years. The apricots ripen in early August. The apricots can be used for fresh eating, baking or preserves.

As it is an early producer, it is susceptible to early spring frosts. For best success, plant it where it is sheltered from warm afternoon sun so bloom time is delayed (shaded from the west). North or east slopes work well for this. It is considered self-fertile, but productivity is greatly enhanced when planted with another apricot or Nanking cherry close by. Prefers regular watering and well drained, slightly acidic soil. It is slightly drought tolerant once established.

Bare root plants are only available for a limited time.
