Edelweiss, made famous in The Sounds of Music, has fuzzy, gray-green pointed leaves and inconspicuous white flowers. It is an alpine plant that tolerates poor soil, rocks, wind, and cooler temperatures. It grows slowly. Do not fertilize. Deer resistant. Perennial in Zone 3.
