One of the most popular, productive and sweetest tasting of the University of Saskatchewan haskap varieties. The early season, large (2.2 g), elongated, dark blue berries taste sweeter than others due to their lower acid content. Berries can be used for fresh eating, preserves or frozen. Good disease resistance and attractive, open growth habit.

Haskaps, also known as honeyberries, are a hardy cross between a honeysuckle and a blueberry. Haskap are hardy to -47 ºC and their blossoms can tolerate a frost of -7 ºC without damage. Haskap berries take about 5-10 days after they turn colour to become fully ripe. Tolerant of wide range of pH, but prefer well draining soil (plant on hill or berm if poor draining soil). Requires pollinator to bear fruit.
