Tall, fast growing, and productive early season haskap shrub with a thick growth habit. Honeybee starts fruiting at an early age. The dark blue berries are small (1.9 g) and elongated. Their tart flavour is good for making juice, wine or jellies. Berries remain on the bush even after ripe and stem often stays on when picked.

Haskaps, also known as honeyberries, are a hardy cross between a honeysuckle and a blueberry. Haskap are hardy to -47 ºC and their blossoms can tolerate a frost of -7 ºC without damage. Haskap berries take about 5-10 days after they turn colour to become fully ripe. Tolerant of wide range of pH, but prefer well draining soil (plant on hill or berm if poor draining soil). Requires pollinator to bear fruit.
