Raspberry - Jewel Black

Jewel Black is a hardy and vigorous, small, spreading, multi-stemmed and self-pollinating shrub that reliably produces clusters of black raspberries that are high in antioxidants, and very sweet. The berries are great for cooking, preserves, baking or eating fresh! This is a flouricane variety which means the berries are produced on second year canes. Regular pruning is recommended. When plants are dormant, cut back all dead, and two year old canes to the ground, leaving only last years growth. A non-suckering, disease-resistant variety of black raspberry that is also tolerant of some shade.
