Parkhill is a dwarf variety of saskatoon. The medium-sized, purple-blue berries it produces ripen evenly and have a mild flavour. The berries can be used for fresh eating, baking, preserves, dried, or frozen. Resistant to Entomosporium leaf and berry spot. Plant in a protected location so it does not blossom early.
Saskatoons are slow-growing, so some fruit will be produced in 1-3 years, but it may take up to 15 years before a full crop is produced. Better fruit production if a second cultivar is nearby. Amend clay soil for best success.
