Saskatoon - Thiessen

The Thiessen saskatoon produces large (17 mm), purple-blue berries with good flavour, after a beautiful display of white blossoms in the spring. The berries do not all ripen at the same time. The tree has an upright, spreading habit and can be used for wind breaks or hedges. Berries can be used for fresh eating, baking, preserves, dried, or frozen.
