A female cultivar that has a strong, compact, and broadly upright growth pattern. It regenerates well after pruning and produces an abundance of 1 cm, yellow-orange, droplet-shaped berries that ripen in September. They can be harvested by picking, or cutting off and, after freezing the entire branch, shaking the berries off.

The berries can be used for jams, preserves, fresh eating, and juices. They are rich in Vitamins A, C (about 7 times more than lemons), D & E, antioxidants and omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 oils. The oils from the berries can be used for burns, excema, to speed wound healing, and as livestock fodder. The silver-gray leaves are also used for tea. Sea buckthorn is said to have anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory properties, help regulate blood sugar, and reduce blood pressure and cholesterol.

Sea buckthorn are very hardy and have the added beneift of fixing Nitrogen into the soil. They tolerate and improve poor soils, but need adequate drainage. Plant where they can be managed if needed. Drought tolerant once established.
