Virginia Creeper is a fast-growing perennial vine that turns a beautiful shade of purple to red in the fall. It uses tendriis that have adhesive-like tips to attach themselves to whatever they come in contact with. It produces blue-black berries which are a beneficial food source for many bird species (consume with caution for humans as they contain toxic amounts of oxalic acid). The bark and twigs have been used to make cough syrup. It can take over your yard so you may want to consider planting in a large container in the ground. Native to North America.
